This is class is for the Pasture and Pine Homeschool students only!

Tuttle Orchards is offering a fun learning opportunity for preschool students to explore how plants grow.  This experience lasts approximately 45-60 minutes and is designed for preschool and elementary aged students, but all students are welcome to attend with a paid ticket.

We can accommodate between 20-35 total people (students and adults) for this Spring Greenhouse Class.

Experience includes:

• Observation and discussion about seeds, roots, stems, leaves, and flowers.
• Student participation in a skit to learn about photosynthesis.
• Tour of the greenhouse to learn about the growing tables and see how plants are transplanted.
• Talk about how things grow in a hands-on environment.
• Hands on planting activity with a plant to take home.

Date and Time:

• April 10th from 9:00-10:00am

Tickets:

$10.00 - For 1 Child.  Includes the lesson, greenhouse tour, and a hands-on planting activity for the child.  Adults may help their child with the planting activity, but they will not get their own plant.  

We require a minimum of 15 paid students per class or a $150 minimum class fee. 

Location:

Please park in the large parking area in the west side of the street. Please go across the street to the Shed to check-in for this event. The Shed is located on the east side of the street behind the Cafe and Greenhouse in a white building. Please look for signs to help direct you to the Activity Building.

Refunds:

This event will be held rain or shine. This is a non-refundable event.

Additional Information:

Spring field trips must be cancelled 1 week in advance or there is a $50 cancellation fee.

The FarmYard activities area is not open in March and April, except for our Easter Event.
